Spontaneous and glutamate evoked calcium oscillations in rat hippocampal astrocytes

In this work, we researched spontaneous and glutamate evoked Ca 2+ oscillations in rat hippocampal astrocytes using confocal laser scanning microscopy and bulk-loading of the Ca 2+ -sensitive dye Oregon Green Bapta 1-AM.
