Description
Summary:Abstaract —Two methods of sample preparation (microwave assisted acid digestion and sintering with sodium bicarbonate) of materials with complex compositions, including organic components for ICP-MS elemental analysis, were tested. The samples used included terrigenous clay (SDO-1), volcanic-terrigenous silt (SDO-2), calcareous silt (SDO-3), ferromanganese nodules (SDO-5), Baikal silt (BIL-1), and a complex sample of Baikal sediments (BIL-2). The most effective sample preparation routines for the studied rocks are proposed.
