Summary: | Technique makes use of intracavity conversion of surface displacement into variation of parameters of laser spectrum. Conversion is implemented by transmitting the radiation through a spatially dispersive element. Its characteristics mainly determine the sensitivity. Effect of surface properties and active medium gain is poor that results in an enhanced resistibility to factors that reduce signal to noise ratio in conventional technique. |
