Correlation between the mineral and microelement compositions of bottom sediments from the Sea of Okhotsk

X-ray diffraction, X-ray fluorescence analysis with synchrotron radiation, and vibrational spectroscopy are used to analyze the microelemental composition and minerals that make up the bottom Fe-Mn crusts and sediments from a deep sea borehole in the Deryugin basin, and from the region of the Amur R...

Description
Summary:X-ray diffraction, X-ray fluorescence analysis with synchrotron radiation, and vibrational spectroscopy are used to analyze the microelemental composition and minerals that make up the bottom Fe-Mn crusts and sediments from a deep sea borehole in the Deryugin basin, and from the region of the Amur River’s flower water into the Sea of Okhotsk. A correlation between the mineral and microelemental composition, structural characteristics, properties, and sedimentation conditions is established.
