Summary: | The electrodeposition of Co-W alloy coatings from a citrate electrolyte with brightening and smoothing additives is investigated. It is shown that the introduction of these additives into the above electrolyte improves the surface quality; the roughness of the coating approaches that of a polished substrate. The application of these additives results in the amorphization of the deposits and improves the physicomechanical characteristics of the manufactured coatings. |
