Auriculina, found in the Cantabrian Mountains in northern Spain, is described as a species new to science and its affinities are discussed. Two intermediate species related to P. lactocantabrica, viz. P. pseudopanticosae and P. adenocantabrica, are also described as new to science and their origins are discussed.
