Summary:Mobile technology seems crucial for learning and teaching as it plays an important role in student’s social, emotional and academic life. This paper examines its role in secondary education focusing in mobile applications that support literacy and mental health in students. The results of a research that investigated the relationship between performance in language of secondary school pupils and the occurrence of depression symptoms are presented.
