Description
Summary:In Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), immune cells are affected due to uremic toxins. Given the central role of T lymphocytes in the progress of CKD, we analyzed lymphocyte proliferative response and immune modulators production to selected stimulators. We applied a method called Flow-cytometric Assay for Specific Cell-mediated Immune-response in Activated whole blood (FASCIA) using whole blood and flow-cytometric analysis for detection of proliferation in addition to a multi-array method (Milliplex 26-plex) to analyze the profile of immune modulators. The absolute number of lymphoblasts, CD4+, CD8+ subpopulations in response to mitogens were equal comparing healthy controls, patients with eGFR
