Description
Summary:Allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis is a disease that should be considered in patients with difficult asthma, bronchiectasis and frequent lung infections. It is an immunological disorder with Type 1 and Type 3 hypersensitivity reaction. Aspergillus is a reaction against fumigatus. One of our patients were male and two were female. They had previously been diagnosed with asthma, bronchitis and pneumonia. Total Ige was done at the time of application, and the number of eosinophils was high in peripheral blood. The patients were diagnosed with allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis. Prednisol 1 mg/kg was started in all three patients and continued for 3-4 months until the clinics were recovered. Steroid treatment and Omalizumab were given in two patients. The diagnosis of ABPA should be kept in mind in asthmatic patients.
