description Aim: This study aims to determine the authentic leadership and positive working environment perceptions of nurses at a research and training hospital and the impact of their authentic leadership perceptions on a positive working environment. Method: The cross-sectional, descriptive, and correlational study was conducted with 173 nurses working at a research and training hospital in Istanbul. Survey forms regarding sociodemographic data, the' Authentic Leadership Scale,' and the 'Nursing Work Index-Assessment of the Nurses' Work Environment' were used as data collection tools. The data were evaluated using descriptive statistical methods, Pearson's correlation, and regression analysis. Results: Of the participants, 50.3% were aged between 26-35, 71.7% had a graduate degree, and 21.9% worked in intensive care. The nurses' Work Environment Scale total score average and general score average of the Authentic Leadership Scale were 2,29 +- 0,52 (1-4) and 3,26 +- 0,78 (1-5), respectively. A significant correlation of weak levels in the positive direction was found between the 'Assessment of the Nurses' Work Environment' and 'authentic leadership general' (r=0.31; p
