Summary: | It may be concluded that out of 2 plants under study, Syzygium aromaticum had higher potential anthelmintic activity (6 times more potential than Melia dubia) against contortus worms of sheep. Extensive studies need to be carried out to identify the pharmacologically active compounds in S. aromaticum that are playing key role in killing the worms and reducing the hatchability of eggs. Further validation with in vivo trials is of utmost significance. |
