Taraxacum umbrosum, an agamospermous taxon, is compared with morphologically similar species in sect. Erythrosperma (T. fragosum and T. taraxacoides) and with those in sect. Erythrocarpa (T. olymophilum, T. pindicola, T. dorchocarpum, T. panhellenicum, T. voricola and T. gratum).
