Summary:In many undergraduate education programs, practicum experiences (also referred to as fieldexperiences or lab placements) are an integral component of the curriculum. These placements aredesigned to provide undergraduate students with practical, authentic experience in classrooms ofvarious levels. During practicum experiences, students are placed in classrooms in order to gain directexperience in teaching elementary or secondary students. However, because these clinicalapplications occur in real-world learning environments, many factors can influence their quality andeffectiveness.
