this month after two years of devoted and notable service. Under her leadership the Council has grown not only in numbers but in prestige and influence among school people generally. Anyone who reads her report on the preceding pages of this issue will obtain some idea of the time and energy she has devoted to the cause of mathematics, but only those who have worked closely with her in the organization will know how much she has given of her real self and how unselfishly she gave it.
