Superconductivity Studies on Pure and F-Containing Ln–M–Cu–O (Ln=La, Y; M=Sr, Ba) System

Efforts to partly substitute fluorine for oxygen in the high T c oxide superconductors La 2 CuO 4 and YBa 2 Cu 3 O 7 showed that under the preparative conditions employed (950°C, air and oxygen), F does not replace O in the lattice.
