Summary:Sulfonic acid functionalized SBA-15 (SBA-Pr-SO3H) with a pore size of 6nm was proven to be an efficient heterogeneous nanoporous solid acid catalyst in the green one-pot synthesis of triazoloquinazolinones and benzimidazoquinazolinones from the reaction of aromatic aldehydes with 3-amino-1,2,4-triazole (or 2-aminobenzimidazole) and dimedone under solvent free conditions.
