This study aimed to determine the geographical variation, prevalence and correlates of substance use among ever-married men in Ethiopia.DesignA community-based cross-sectional survey was undertaken from 18 January 2016 to 27 June 2016.Data sourceData were used from the 2016 Ethiopian Demographic and Health Survey (EDHS).Data extraction and analysisData from the 2016 EDHS was used, and a total of 7793 ever-married men were involved in the analysis. The spatial autocorrelation statistic (Global Moran’s I) was used to determine whether substance use was dispersed, clustered or randomly distributed.
