Summary:The article presents the procedure for assessing and taking into account in numerical simulations the thermal and chemical degradation of the structural material of the installation for the processing of mineral resources. Possible measurement techniques that can be used to assess the degree of wear of structural elements are described, together with an exemplary application. The assumptions for the construction of the numerical model were also described along with a detailed discussion of the obtained results. Particular attention was paid to the interpretation of the results in terms of the assessment of the technical condition.
