Summary: | The article discusses features and advantages of the competency-based approach manifested when it is used in the personnel policy. To identify a unified framework for the competency-based approach, definitions of the category “competence” were studied, and constituent elements of professional competencies were presented and analyzed. They were divided into implicit and explicit; priority elements were identified in terms of goals of management. The analysis of the theoretical and methodological aspects of the competence-based approach allowed the authors to present the concept “competence”, and identify parameters for the implementation of the approach in the context of developing the human capital. |
