Description
Summary:Deficits in visuospatial memory and perception were detected with Brief Visuospatial Memory Test-Revised, and affected executive functions were revealed by the Clock Drawing Test and Trail Making Test Form B. A Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS) score of 7 was compatible with mild depressive symptomatology. Routine blood studies showed a decreased albumin (3.2 g/dL) level, increased total cholesterol (283 mg/dL), and mildly elevated AFP levels of 7 μg/L in the serum. Consistent with other investigations of patients with cerebellar ataxias, our patient showed executive dysfunction, decreased performance on verbal fluency tests, and affected visuospatial short-term memory[3],[7] [Table 2].
