Summary: | The title compound, C28H19NO2, was synthesized by the reaction of 1,3-benzodioxole-5-carbaldehyde with naphthalen-2-amine catalyzed by thiosalicylic acid in acetic acid. The central dihydropyridine ring adopts a boat conformation. The two planar (r.m.s. deviations = 0.0158 and 0.0552 Å) bicyclic parts make a dihedral angle of 16.16 (5)° with respect to each other. The crystal packing is stabilized by intermolecular N—H...O hydrogen bonds and C—H...π interactions. |
