Summary: | Central nervous system tuberculosis (CNS‐TB) is one of the most devastating and life‐threatening conditions having high mortality and morbidity. Here, we report a 12‐year‐old child with pulmonary tuberculosis and pleural effusion presenting with ischemic stroke as an important manifestation of central nervous system tuberculosis.
Rapid and accurate diagnoses with timely treatment are the best ways to improve the survival rate of CNS‐TB. This report focuses the need to consider CNS‐TB in the differential diagnosis of children with stoke living in areas of high tuberculosis. |
