Summary: | The pyogenic granuloma is a vascular benign tumor that normally presents as a localized mass. Its incidence in pediatric patients during the neonatal period and lingual localization is very rare.
We present a premature patient who was diagnosed with lingual pyogenic granuloma at two weeks of life; treated with surgical excision and histopathological confirmation. Afterwards, she presented a relapse from tumor; so she was treated with topical beta-blockers and had complete resolution with no signs of recurrence. |
