This study aimed to investigate the value of cerebrospinal fluid lactate concentrations in post-neurosurgical bacterial meningitis. A prospective observational study was performed on 62 patients at Kunshan First People’s Hospital’s intensive care unit affiliated with Jiangsu University. We found that erythrocytes do not affect cerebrospinal fluid lactate, and elevated lactate concentrations can be used as a marker for postoperative bacterial meningitis. |
