Description
Summary:We report on a 19-year-old female patient who was diagnosed with a complete suprapatellar plica syndrome. She underwent arthroscopic excision of the plica. Post-operatively, there was complete resolution of the symptoms, with return to sports activity. A complete suprapatellar plica is a rare condition that separates the suprapatellar pouch from the rest of the knee. Cases of symptomatic complete suprapatellar plica should be managed with conservative measures initially. If conservative therapy fails, surgical arthroscopic excision is required.
