Summary: | The technological breakthrough in the field of natural composites has led to the introduction of many new materials and products, which are environmentally friendly. As a result, there is a need to reuse, recycle, and reduce the increasing solid bio-waste. Researchers are focusing on deriving reinforcements for composites from biomaterials. This review focuses on the mechanical, physical, chemical, and thermal characterization of CFF as reported in various research articles. This work also presents CFF as a reinforcement material in composites and methods for preparing the CFF composites. This review indicates that CFF provides enough scope to explore opportunities for future research of CFF as a biomaterial in composites. |
