Summary: | ABSTRACT Chlorophyllum molybdites (Agaricaceae) is a toxic mushroom that occurs in Brazil, mostly in the southern region, where cases of poisoning due to accidental ingestion accumulate. In the Amazon region, the species is little known. Here we report the first confirmed occurrence record for the state of Pará. We expand the geographic distribution of C. molybdites and provide a morphological description of the specimens found, contributing to the knowledge of fungal diversity in the Brazilian Amazon region. |
