Description
Summary:To the editor, Medications related to acute pancreatitis account for less than 5% of cases while most cases could be attributed to alcohol, gallbladder stones, hypertriglyceridemia, autoimmune or iatrogenic related. Here we present a case who was diagnosed with acute pancreatitis due to estrogen injection use. Medications related to pancreatitis should be taken into consideration when no obvious precipitating factors were found in the emergency department setting. In most of the cases, supportive treatment with pain control was adequate, but a thorough history of medication use is necessary when surveying acute pancreatitis.
