Description
Summary:In this work, the polarization splitter using dual-core elliptically cladding photonic crystal fiber is numerically investigated. The design features the polarization inducement with four distinct modes known as even and odd mode in X-polarization and Y-polarization respectively. Coupling length and normalized transmission are calculated. The result reveals that the polarization component is splitted at 1.56 μm. All the numerical studies are applied using the finite element method (FEM).
