Description
Summary:Compact fluorescent lamps and high-power light-emitting diodes use an electronic device that injects harmonics into distribution networks, thereby altering power quality levels. This paper shows these lamps' electrical characterisation and the results of a computer simulation of a radial distribution feeder supplying electricity to customers who use this type of harmonic load. The objective was to analyse the effect on distribution systems due to CFLs and LEDs' high penetration.
