Description
Summary:The behavior of train passengers when selecting a carriage was modeled using five explanatory variables. Using passenger numbers estimated by measuring the total weight of passengers using air suspension pressure gauges, the model parameters were estimated, and the accuracy of the model was validated. From the estimated parameters, we analyzed the ability of the explanatory variables to account for passenger behavior depending on the direction of travel and the time of day. Finally, we estimated the spatiotemporal distribution of passengers on each platform using this model, and discussed the time lost due to the non-uniform distribution of passengers when boarding and alighting from the train.
