Summary: | Intestinal atresia is a congenital anomaly which results in the discontinuity or narrowing of the bowel lumen. Although intestinal atresia is a common congenital malformation, it rarely occurs in twins. In this case report we present on twins born with jejunal atresias at a community hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. This is the 8th reported twin pair with jejunal atresia and the 19th overall report of twins with intestinal atresia. |
