Opisana je sinteza 3-amino-4-feniltieno_2,3-c_izotiazola i etil-3-amino-4-feniltieno [2,3-c]izotiazol-5-karboksilata i njihovo koriscenje za dobijanje celog niza azo disperznih boja. Ove nove boje su proucavane sa gledista medjusobnog odnosa strukture i boje. Ispitana je i primenljivost ovih boja na poliestarske materijale kao i njihovu trajnost. Boje su karakerisane pomocu NMR, IR i vidljive apsorpcione spektroskopije.
