NPK Fertilizer Formulation on a Custom-Made Rotating Pan Granulator for Agricultural Applications

Fertilizers with nitrogen (N), phosphate (P), and potassium (K) were formulated using a custom-made rotary pan granulator. The granules were characterized by analysis of their composition, specific surface and porosity (Brunauer–Emmett–Teller, BET analysis), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and X...

Description
Summary:Fertilizers with nitrogen (N), phosphate (P), and potassium (K) were formulated using a custom-made rotary pan granulator. The granules were characterized by analysis of their composition, specific surface and porosity (Brunauer–Emmett–Teller, BET analysis), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and X-ray diffraction (XRD). Using the rotary pan granulator led to the formation of the intended NPK fertilizer granules. The most used for soil treatment, the 2–4 mm diameter granules, were separated, and the granules with smaller or higher dimensions were re-introduced to the process.
