. We followed three experimental designs to determine the best combination of buffered pH solutions, additives, fresh and lyophilized biomass. We have found that additives such as citric acid and/or disaccharides could be beneficial to the extraction process. We concluded that the biomass-solvent ratio is a determining factor to obtain high extraction and purity ratios with short ultrasonication times. |
