Summary: | Maternal complications are challenging in diagnosis and include high rates of preeclampsia, hypertensive emergencies, placental abruption, and infections as well as thrombosis related to dialysis access. There are studies confirming that preterm birth is associated with renal dysfunction starting even from childhood as well as with increases in blood pressure in adulthood. Pregnancy was only complicated by the reduced number of platelets (potentially incipient HELP syndrome), and the infant was not preterm but only of low birth weight. |
