Summary:The geography of health is an important field of knowledge in the treatment of public health. The environmental perspective and the perspective of public health policies are the two main focuses of the studies in this branch of geography. Climate is one of the many space variables taken into consideration in the geography of health (environmental perspective). The meningitis and its manifestation in the state of Paraná with the main focus of the display space of the disease and its interaction with climate conditions, the core component of the study. The study shows that, while viral meningitis has greater impact in the summer and north-central portion in the northwestern state (climate Cfa), the incidence of bacterial meningitis is most evident in the southeast portion of the State (Cfb) and markedly at winter season. It is therefore a highly seasonal and spatial differentiation in the incidence of meningitis in the state of Parana.
