Local Ion Nitriding of 38KhMYuA Steel with Glow Discharge in a Hollow Cathode

The effect of local ion nitriding in glow discharge with the hollow cathode effect (HCE) on microstructure, phase composition and microhardness of steel 38KhMYuA was studied. Optical microscopy of the nitrided layer was carried out. The kinetic of diffusion layer growth was investigated.
