Summary:•This review article highlights about the various rare gastrointestinal vascular pathologies that we encountered in our institution.•Congenital extrahepatic porto systemic shunts and its two types, portal vein aneurysm, spontaneous isolated celiac artery dissection, Aorto enteric fistulas including aorto duodenal and aorto gastric fistulas and Arc of Riolan artery aneurysm are discussed in this article. Congenital and acquired vascular pathologies of the gastrointestinal system may be diagnosed at any age and a detailed knowledge of the normal anatomy and their imaging findings is very important for surgical or interventional procedures. The aim of this review is to discuss clinical and imaging findings of the rare vascular pathologies that we encountered in patients undergoing abdominal computed tomography.
