For this reason it is necessary to determine the factors associated with the burden of care, and to determine treatment strategies that will reduce the burden. [...]in our study, it was aimed to investigate the effect of switching from oral antipsychotics to long-acting antipsychotic therapy on the level of caregiver burden of primary caregivers of patients. Method Involved in the study were patients diagnosed with schizophrenia according to DSM-5 and followed up by the Erzurum Regional Training and Research Hospital Community Mental Health Center (TRSM), and their caregivers.
