Summary:The Polish National Project Development of a Satellite Method for Baltic Ecosystem Monitoring (DESAMBEM) creates mathematical models and algorithms applicable to the remote sensing of the Baltic ecosystem and primary production within this system. Ultimately, the model will accommodate data on surface temperature, water transparency, upwelling current, phytoplankton blooms, radiation balance, pigment concentrations, and primary production. The development process include identifying input data and its sources, model formulation, and calculations within the model.
