Summary:During time, a more attention was paid to the sustainability indicators. While formerly they regarded only the environment area, gradually they were extended also to the social, economic and institutional sphere. However, their use is rather problematic in developing countries the majority of which was not persuaded of their importance. Developing countries also often reason that they have not the relevant data to their disposal.
