Summary: | A monowave approach was used for the production of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using guar gum (GG) with different parameters (effect of time, concentration of AgNO3 and GG) in an aqueous medium. The synthesized GG-AgNPs were analyzed by various characterization techniques. FTIR spectra was confirmed that the GG is act as both reducing and stabilizing agent. XRD and TEM studies clearly shows that the AgNPs have crystalline with FCC structure, and size of particles were around 4 ± 2 nm. GG-AgNPs was exhibited as an efficient anticancer agent for MCF-7 cells and IC50 = 41.79 μg/mL. The antibacterial studies of GG-AgNPs with different concentrations are performed against S. aureus and E. coli and the results are satisfactory with the control (ampicillin). The antioxidant activity of GG-AgNPs was investigated against DPPH and ABTS assays; and their IC50 values are 40.2 µg/mL and 43.4 µg/mL were shown to have considerable scavenging activity. In addition, GG-AgNPs exhibited prominent catalytic activity against degradation of MB and CR dyes and follows pseudo-first order kinetics for environmental remediation applications. |
