Description
Summary:Curtobacterium is a genus in the family Microbacteriaceae that belongs to the phylum Actinomycetota (previously known as Actinobacteria) and contains eight validly published species. The type and representative strains among these species are mostly isolated from plants such as rice (Oryza sativa), water primrose (Ludwigia adscendens), common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris), and various grasses. Here, Hung et al report the complete genome sequence of Curtobacterium sp. C1, a strain that has the potential to be developed into a beneficial endophyte for agricultural applications. This genome sequence provides resources for comparative genomics and this data set can facilitate future functional characterizations for the molecular plant-endophyte interactions, as well as improve the genome sequence availability of Curtobacterium for comparative analysis.
