Description
Summary:Lassa fever is a viral infection that is most common in West Africa. This study presents a fractional order model of Lassa disease. The model’s analytical solution is obtained using the Laplace Adomian Decomposition Method (LADM) in the form of infinite series that converge quickly to its exact value. The results obtained with different values of alphas were compared, and it is determined that the results obtained with alpha equal one are stronger, and the sensitivity analysis indicated that the contact rate on the exposed, infected, and isolated classes must be controlled. Graphical evaluation is presented to demonstrate the reliability and simplicity of the model proposed in this study. •This study presents a fractional-order model of Lassa disease.•The solution is obtained Laplace Adomian Decomposition Method.•The results with different alphas are compared, showing alphas equal to is strongest.•The sensitivity analysis indicates the contact rate on the exposed, infected, and isolated must be controlled.•Graphical evaluation is presented to demonstrate the models reliability and simplicity.
