Description
Summary:Distributed generation (DG) is used to supply systems demand in a localized way, also allowing small-scale generation with renewable energy sources. As a main contribution, this document presents several considerations to be taken into account when the problem of optimal integration of DG in distribution grid is analyzed, modeled and solved. Initially, technical aspects of the network, load modeling, DG impacts, formulation of the mathematical model of the problem, main solution techniques, methodologies applied in the literature, are enunciated and finally future research in this field are presented. The parameters should be analyzed to improve system operating conditions. This review showed that most of studies focused on technical aspects, without taking into account costs related to DG integration and economic incentives for this type of projects, which are vital in assessing the feasibility of the integration proposal.
