QUANTITATIVE ISOLATION OF STEROLS

Procedures are described for the quantitative gravimetric isolation of cholesterol and cholestan-3β-01 as the digitonides and for the quantitative recovery of these sterols from their digitonides in the range of 0.5-4.0 mg.
