Summary:Reality technologies in the orthopaedic arena have been increasing in use over the last decade, including virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR). MR is one of the most recent innovations and perhaps the most promising for improving the overall surgical experience. The purpose of this case report was to demonstrate a complex total knee arthroplasty case where unplanned remote assistance was used for telesurgical support using the HoloLens 2.
