Description
Summary:Multiferroic BiFeO3 ceramics were prepared by solid state reaction and high energy ball milling. XRD analysis showed that the ceramic crystallises in a rhombhohedral perovskite phase. The ferroelectric hysteresis measured at room temperature demonstrates a lossy loop with unsaturated behaviour, indicating a partial reversal of polarisation. A dielectric constant with temperature measurement revealed an anomaly around 350 C for all frequencies and is intimately associated with the antiferromagnetic to paramagnetic phase transition of BiFeO3.
