Description
Summary:Mandibular distraction osteogenesis (MDO) is a surgical procedure that can successfully treat the micrognathia in neonates with Pierre Robin Sequence (PRS), avoiding glosoptossis and airway obstruction. While virtual surgical planning (VSP) and three-dimensional (3D) printing is a common technique in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, it has not been widely used in neonates with this condition. The objective of this study is to describe how we employ 3D technology on MDO for neonates with mandibular hypoplasia.
